RMC’s mission is to teach versatile dog lovers how to train their own dog to be the hunting companion that you want. To that end, the chapter sponsors monthly training days, various clinics, and NAVHDA tests between February and August.
Keep in mind that these activities can only introduce you to the methods needed to train your dog. You must implement your own training program to apply the methods that you will learn. Effective training requires a daily commitment to the job of training your companion. This means daily repetitions of obedience drills as well as frequent sessions in the field and ponds with birds. See the Resources tab for information on SWA training fields and acquiring permits to use them.
